Wind Map

There is a mesmerizing new web page that animates wind flow across the United States based on hourly updated data. It is really fun to watch.

This is a project of Fernanda Viégas and Martin Wattenberg who lead Google’s “Big Picture” visualization group.You can see more of their work at hint.fm.

I discovered this through Mashable.com.
