There are a few shortcut keys in Photoshop that I dearly love. I’ve mentioned some of them before, but I like to occasionally remind myself of them. Maybe they’ll be helpful to you too.
I’ve put a few of my most commonly used keyboard shortcuts in a list. The lower the number, the more I couldn’t live without it.
#10 Ctrl+W | ⌘+W = Close Image
#9 Ctrl+Alt+C | ⌘+Option+C = Canvas Size
#8 Ctrl+Alt+I | ⌘+Option+I = Image Size
#7 Ctrl+Alt+Shift+C | ⌘+Option+Shift+C = Content Aware Scale
#6 Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E | ⌘+Option+Shift+E = Convert Visible into New Layer
#5 Ctrl+J | ⌘+J = Duplicate Selected Layer
#4 L = Lasso Tool
#3 V = Move Tool
#2 Alt+Mouse Wheel | Option+Mouse Wheel = Quick Zoom
#1 Space Bar = Grab and Pan Image
There are too many to list and even more to memorize. It’s especially tough to remember them all when you use different software programs everyday. I used to write shortcut keys on the backs of my hands with a permanent marker to help me memorize them fast. By the time the ink wore off I had that shortcut lodged permanently in my memory banks. Would I recommend this technique? No. Sticky notes work just as well on your monitor. See.

Unfortunately, my most common shortcut is Cmd|Ctrl – Z, the Undo command
You’re right Gary. I forgot to mention Undo ⌘+Z/Ctrl+Z and Step Backward ⌘+Option+Z/Ctrl+Alt+Z. They absolutely come first.
what would be the shortcut key to acquire a 24 pk of beer, pizza, and a call girl service ?? :~D
