Huge installation using Blow Up

Here is a great example of Blow Up used in the real world. Christian Popkes created a dramatic outdoor photo installation at the Schömberg Photo Festival in the Black Forest. Blow Up made the huge prints possible. They are about three meters tall!

    Looks very impressive.
Some background info on the images would be useful
i.e., what was the capture format etc

    Very Cool Indeed!!! Love it.

  4. Very impressive but I suspect the original files were also pretty large! Definitely interested in what they were taken with.

I agree! Very nice enlargements, but were these shot medium format digital or a cell phone? I joke about the cell phone, but knowing the medium of capture is paramount.

      Hi Jason,

It was a medium format camera. I checked with Christian about these shots. He used a 39MP Hasselblad which produces an image of 5412 x 7212 pixels. The images still underwent significant enlargement to get to the size shown in the article.
