I recently discovered another great book on writing named Writing That Works by Roman & Raphaelson. It is a very short read and the advice is spot on, just like The Elements of Style by Strunk & White.
The gems are in chapters 1, 2, 11, 12, and 13. You can skip the middle chapters on topics like Powerpoint presentations. If you have to do those then you have made poor life choices and I can’t help you.
Everyone needs to be a good writer. Yes, even photographers, artists, and graphic designers.

Hi Jeff,
Have you heard of the British equivalent to The Elements ? It’s called ‘The Complete Plain Words’ written by a British civil servant in 1948 and thankfully it is still around and was updated in 2002. That was basically it. Love your articles and Exposure 4 !
Cheers from The Netherlands,
Dick
I haven’t seen that book before, but I’ll take a look. Thanks!
