Do mobile phones threaten compact cameras?

The latest smart phones and mobile apps are becoming mobile media stations. If your phone can’t shoot HD video, take great-looking photos, and instantly upload to your favorite online social hangout then it’s a dinosaur.

Newest for the phone-camera connoisseur is the Nokia N8. It comes strapped with a 12MP sensor, Carl Zeiss optics and a powerful Xenon flash. The level of armament this phone possesses puts a phone on the same playing field as compact cameras. Could the next era of mobile phones put compact’s 6-feet under?

Not at all, using a phone is unprofessional and just lame. The technology as acamera brings out so much vividness and clarity that only a camera could give. Where as if you take a shot on a mobile, it looks great on your mobile but then when you go and view it large, there are some many flaws.
